DATE NIGHT = MOVIE NIGHT! Our dates nights are SO important with the recent changes in our lives so having an affordable movie night is a must! #MovieNightForLess #CollectiveBias #ad

Last week I told you all that by the end of the school year we are moving to Minnesota. My husband recently accepted a new job in Rochester, MN and by the end of the school year we will be leaving Wisconsin. I'm super excited about this new opportunity and I can't wait to start this new chapter in our lives because we are already in love with Rochester and our plan is to build again! However, between now and then, my husband will be commuting every other week. So that kind of sucks.

We are that couple who does a lot together. We grocery shop together, we clean-up the house together, we run errands together. And even after spending all that time together, we even still like each other. ;) I couldn't imagine being the type of couple who does things separate all of the time! (Sooo, just an FYI....please don't confuse the fact that we enjoy spending time with each other with those corny, lovey dovey, gushy mushy couples.)

Now that our time together is that much more precious, regular date nights are a must. A MUST.

Here is the thing though, we don't like spending too much money on date nights. We can be a bit frugal like that. I'm all for saving where you can so you can splurge when you want, but when it comes to date nights, we rather save. This is why we like to make our date nights a movie night.

So how fitting was it to find this Movie Night For Less display featuring Warner Bros. movies, Orville Redenbacher's Popcorn, and M&M's® at Walmart! The DVD's are priced at only $5 and the Blu-ray's are priced at only $7.88! Hello affordable movie, popcorn, AND chocolate! Note: these prices will only be available for a limited time and are not suited for children under 13 years of age. Go here to see a list of Walmart stores where this pallet is available.

There is a pretty huge selection of movies available and for us it was toss up between Horrible Bosses, The Blind Side, and Gran Torino. Since Horrible Bosses 2 is coming out soon, we went with Horrible Bosses (I can't believe we hadn't see it yet!). And of course we had to get every single variety of M&M's® that is available in the theater box.

Normally on movie nights, we pop some Orville Redenbacher's popcorn and toss the M&M's® right in the bowl. Speaking of the bowl...........

Can I just point out how awesome it is that THE BAG POPS INTO A BOWL! No extra dirty dishes for this girl!

On this particular movie night we both had a serious sweet tooth. So instead of our go-to popcorn and M&M's®, I decided to melt some chocolate and drizzle it over the popcorn and M&M's®.

It's super easy to do, just be sure to make it head of time so the chocolate has time to dry!

Chocolate Drizzled Popcorn & M&M's®

Step #1 Pop the popcorn according to package directions.

Step #2 Lay wax paper or non-stick aluminum foil on cookie sheet or counter.

Step #3 Spread popped popcorn on covered cookie sheet or counter and be sure to pick out the unpopped kernels.

Step #4 Heat melting chocolate according to package directions and use a spoon to drizzle over chocolate.

Step #5 ENJOY!

I know, not very culinary. But hey, I wanted to spend my time with my husband, not my kitchen!

And when I say spending time with my husband...I mean talking selfies! Well, we try to take selfies anyway.
