I know, I know. It's only the second week of November and my Christmas tree is up. What Rose Knows is here to inspire you though so I got a head start on my Christmas decor - only 3 weeks earlier than normal for me. This is just phase 1 for me and oh how I love how phase 1 turned out! Being in a new house this year I had some ideas in mind for new Christmas decor but I hadn't gone shopping yet. I don't mind trends when it comes to holiday decor, as long as it's high quality, and this year I did in fact go with what's on trend - which happens to be plaid.
I was invited to check out the holiday decor selection at Big Lots and since I had never shopped Big Lots for holiday decor before, I was curious. Plus, Big Lots has declared November 16 - 22 National Decorate Your Home For The Holidays Week so of course I want to participate in that!
You guys, make a trip to Big Lots before you head anywhere else because they have a great selection of holiday decor! And for those of you who may have a hard time coordinating things, they have it all coordinated for you right on the shelf! Just keep in mind that styles and assortment vary by store.
The first thing I want to show you are these gorgeous cozy fleece throws for our couches (don't forget to check out the snowflake fleece on the first image). Adding this red plaid fleece throw instantly warmed up our living room. They are so, so soft!
They even had smaller plaid fleece throws that was the perfect addition to my rusty metal stool next to the tv stand that my handsome handy husband made. The reds sure do pop in our neutral living room. And the lantern was already decorated with a burlap bow, pine needles, and berries. The LED candle on the inside flickers for ambiance too. With all of the guests we'll be having this holiday season, I thought it was better to go with these LED candles rather than real candles.
And just look how pretty those red buffalo check trees are! I wanted to add height to both sides of the TV and these red buffalo check trees were perfect for the space! I love how they are adorned with pinecones and pine needles and berries!
I was really impressed how everything at Big Lots coordinated with each other and you will be too. The pinecone garland, red LED candle lanterns, and JOY marquee sign give our TV stand a rustic lodge look. So cozy.
I am very pleased with the quality of these red LED lanterns from Big Lots. They have a great distressed finish and have pine needles and berries inside that coordinate perfectly with the pinecone garland.

This space turned out so beautiful. So cozy. So inviting. Making me SO happy with my decision to go to Big Lots first for my holiday decor.
For the basket on the coffee table, I decided to just add one of the strings of pinecone garland. This was effortless decorating for me. Actually, this entire room turned out to be effortless because everything worked out so well. I'm so happy with everything I picked up at Big Lots - the quality met my standards and everything was priced just right!
I really was not expecting the wide array of stunning holiday and seasonal decor items at Big Lots like these gorgeous reindeer. I am seriously considering another pair to use in another part of the house.
They are just so pretty from every angle! So elegant!
Another pleasant surprise when shopping at Big Lots was the selection of Christmas tree ornaments. Every single box that I picked up I loved!
Just look at how it all coordinates with each other!
I really love our new stag red buffalo check Christmas tree skirt. It really adds extra coziness to the room. Something that our cold and snowy midwest winters need.
Even though these snowman and this white lantern were grouped together for a different decor theme from the plaid decor, they still look perfect when arranged all together. And I love that I didn't feel the need to add anything or change anything to this holiday home decor from Big Lots.
I just want to show you all one more picture of these reindeer. I'm so in love with them!
